The Kids

Days can be so long and just when you think your parenting has done nothing to further your childs character they pull out a surprise to remind you that you are doing ok.

Little L asked me if she could go over to the neighbors to pick up their trash can. I asked her why and she said with passion, "Mom, this is a great way to serve our neighbors and I know that they will be thankful." With tears in my eyes, I watched her go over and pick up the neighbors trash can, struggle to get the lid on and then walk away with a smile on her face. It was so precious.
